Little clothes, little furniture, little people…I’ve always loved dolls and miniatures. There was a daydream I loved a lot (back when I too was little) wherein I had a device I could point at things and make little versions. A shrinkifier, if you will–so I could have little couches and chairs and sets of dishes and hats, all at my choosing.

It isn’t as easy as that, but I did grow and learned the skills to make things, and yes, a lot of them are little things. I learned to sculpt dolls, sew doll clothing and upholster miniature furnishings. This year I’m learning to knit and revisiting my crochet skills, which adds to the doll wardrobe and accessories. Polymer clay lends itself to making dolls and all kinds of things to go with them. Paper mache, cardboard boxes and paint with faux finishes can become furnishings for dolls of all sizes. Here at this website, I’ll share some of my projects with you. Dolls, miniatures, costumes and furnishings…It’s The Little Things.
